  • All members must conform to the Rules of the Environment Agency (EA) in all respects pertaining to fishing, particularly in possessing the appropriate rod licences where necessary.

  • Members must always carry their membership cards as a means of identification. When on Society, concessionary, or agreement waters.

  • NO guns, dogs, fires, or radios are allowed where stated. No camping without the owners’ permission.

  • LITTER IS UNTIDY, DANGEROUS TO WILDLIFE & LIVESTOCK. IT MUST NOT BE LEFT ON THE BANK. Discarded nylon is particularly dangerous. Metal or plastic, disposable bait, food, or drink containers must not be taken to the water.

  • No fish may be taken other than by rod and line.

  • All fish caught are to be returned to the water alive and unharmed.

  • Braided lines and barbed hooks are NOT allowed on Non predator or specimen matches.

  • Carp and silvers are to be kept in separate keepnets. Crucian carp to go in silvers nets please.

  • There is a 50lb limit on all keepnets used in matches. Any nets exceeding the 50lb limit will have the excess discounted and be weighed in at only 50lb. Any net weighing more than 60lb will be discounted entirely and that net weighed in at 0lb.

  • No carp above 12lb are to be put into a keepnet. Fish close or over this total will be weighed by taking it to the nearest match steward and returning it immediately. Any fish found to be over 12lb in a keepnet won’t be counted.

  • Floating bait in matches is banned. If a floating bait of any sort drifts into the peg of another angler during a match the culprit may be disqualified.

  • Anglers are allowed to rake snags/weed out of their swim before the start of the match if they wish to do so. No raking of swims once the match has started.

  • No “rolling” fish down keepnets please during weigh-in as it’s harmful to the fish.

  • No feed of any type is to be introduced to the water before the “all in”.

  • If leaving a match early, don’t throw excess or left over bait in the water please. It’s disrespectful to those who are still fishing.

  • Peg Fees are £10 paid on the day.

  • Once registered your attendance on the website nonattendance without at least one week’s notice will result in the peg price still standing,

  • No Predator Fish will be counted in the match and any caught by mistake should be returned to the water as soon as possible.

  • When a match is abandoned, or postponed, the reserve date shall apply; your original entry stands, and the match will be redrawn. If you do not wish to fish the match on the reserve date, please cancel your entry. If the match cannot be fished on the reserve date, then all members shall be notified of the new date and must re-enter for the match in the usual way.

  • Competitors are responsible for clearing all litter from their peg. Failure to do so will result in not being weighed in until it is cleared up.

  • No competitor may disturb the water in any manner before the starting signal except for positioning the keepnet, mixing ground bait, plumbing the depth, and shotting floats.
